The Lord has given me a love for writing that has resulted in two novels thus far, with more in work. These books preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ explicitly (Love Unconditional) and allegorically (The Breaking of the Dawn) and are both intended to evangelize the lost, encourage the saints and exalt our great God.
The first book I published was The Breaking of the Dawn. It’s an allegory about the Christian walk framed within the overarching narrative of the creation of man through the return of Christ. Someone described it once as “Lord of the Rings meets The Pilgrims’ Progress.”
The second book I published, Love Unconditional, deals a lot with forgiveness and the sanctity of life. It’s based in modern-day New Jersey/New York and I would caution that it’s “PG-13” due to some of the topics it deals with, such as sexual assault, abortion and murder.
As I walked around the almost un-earthly landscape of Cappadocia and climbed up the ramparts of a Crusader castle in Turkey 12 years ago, I thought that one day I would write a novel that incorporated some of these amazing sights. That novel began as a single chapter that I wrote while I was deployed in Honduras in 2016, and I then put it down for many years. I picked it back up a couple of years ago; and now, with much help and encouragement from my family and friends, like Graham Moes (who so graciously and skillfully edited it), Where the North Wind Blows has been published! This historical fiction adventure novel will be released as a three-part series over the next 3-6 months. I pray it is a blessing of enjoyment, encouragement, and even encountering the one thing that matters most – the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
